Song I Wish I Wrote
While we loved creating Over/Under videos, we knew some of our favorite artists didn’t quite fit the improve format. Ash Slater, Michael Garber and myself pitched the idea of shooting a series based solely round songs that artists wish they had written. We got some great responses, and some surprising answers from the musicians.
For this project, I created the general look with Michael Garber and Jim Larson, set up lighting and cameras, shot on a Sony FS5, captured audio, edited the final piece and posted it to all of Pitchfork’s platforms.
